Reynolds' Slam Lifts O's Over Jays

Mark Reynolds slapped the first grand slam of his career in the sixth inning Saturday night, propelling the Orioles to a 5-3 victory over the Toronto Blue Jays at Camden Yards.

Jake Arrieta was shaky early on but held on to pick up his seventh win of the season. Ex-Oriole Corey Patterson deposited Arrieta's fifth pitch of the ballgame over the scoreboard in right field to give Toronto an early 1-0 lead. The Jays tacked on another run in the second and fourth innings, but Arrieta was able to escape from a bases-loaded, none-out situation in the third without surrendering a run. Arrieta (7-3) held on and took the win after Reynolds' slam in the sixth.

Jim Johnson and Koji Uehara made things look easy before Kevin Gregg made all of Baltimore hold their breath in the ninth. Gregg eventually earned his tenth save of the season and the Camden Yards faithful went home happy...

The O's had a rough year against Toronto in 2010, but look to take the first series between the divisional rivals on Sunday afternoon. Jeremy Guthrie takes the mound for the Birds...
