Tillman Sparkles As O's Snap Streak

I haven't had a chance to get to many games this season, but I was there on Saturday night for a thrilling Orioles 6-2 victory over the Toronto Blue Jays.

My wife and a couple friends waited out a rain delay in the Warehouse Bar...we had arrived early to get the coveted Brian Matusz bobblehead. We had no trouble getting our hands on a few...the paid attendance was under 20 thousand on a wet, hot and humid evening.

Things looked bad early...the O's were no-hit through the first five innings, and the Birds were trailing 2-0 heading into the bottom of the sixth.

Nolan Reimold snapped the perfect game with a single in the sixth, and the O's scored four runs in the frame, three coming off Adam Jone's 20th homer of the season, a career-best (I called the shot by the way).

Chris Tillman was impressive to say the least, allowing just two runs on four hits and a walk over seven innings, striking out five. Tillman (3-4) has shown marked improvement over his last two starts, and should remain in the rotation for the remainder of the season in my opinion...

Mark Reynolds took over at first base and looked like a Gold-Glover at the position...Reynolds went 0-for-3 at the plate with three strikeouts but made up for the lack of offense with a handful of amazing plays in the field.

The O's send Alfredo Simon to the mound on Sunday afternoon for the rubber-match against the Jays...
