Mark Reynolds slapped two solo home runs, but Toronto took the series with a 7-2 victory over Alfredo Simon and the O's on Sunday afternoon.
Simon ran into trouble in the third inning, when an error by third-baseman Josh Bell led to two unearned runs. Simon (3-5) lasted just 5 2/3 innings, allowing six runs on ten hits, walking none and fanning three.
Brad Bergesen pitched three stellar innings of relief, allowing just a run on three hits while walking none and striking out four.
The O's once again had no answer for Jay's starter Ricky Romero, who allowed just four hits and no walks over eight innings. Two of the four hits came off the bat of Reynold, who leads the club with 26 taters.
The Birds now host the Chicago White Sox for a four-game series. Jeremy Guthrie takes the mound for the O's on Monday night...
