Bird Bites...
- We'll have to wait at least another day to see Derrek Lee take the field, as a sore wrist will keep him out of Saturday's lineup...Lee is still ahead of schedule
- Brian Matusz had a wart removed from his left middle finger and will probably miss his next scheduled start
- Koji Uehara received a cortisone shot in his elbow on Thursday after reporting feeling arm fatigue...it's still very early, but this could give Kevin Gregg the upper hand in the closer's duel
- Alfredo Simon is a free man...Simon was released on bail on Friday...it's unsure how he will fit into an already crowded bullpen if and when he returns to the O's
- Justin Duchscherer's sore hip is feeling better, and if things go as planned "The Duke" could make his Orioles' debut on Tuesday
On Deck...
The O's head home to take on the Boston Red Sox on Saturday afternoon...Brad Bergesen (1-0) is slated to take the mound...
